“This new series builds on the film’s original storylines,” said Butts. “Johnathon’s role has been expanded significantly, and his performance is exceptional. We believe the stories will resonate well with the INSP audience and even draw new viewers to the network who love watching crime procedurals. At its core, Blue Ridge is about the strength of community and the power of human connection, and it celebrates the human experience with all its complexity.”

Special guest stars include Bruce Boxleitner (Tron, Babylon 5, How the West Was Won, Far Haven); Max Martini (The Unit, 13 Hours, Pacific Rim); Ethan Embry (That Thing You Do!, Sweet Home Alabama, Grace and Frankie); Mike O’Hearn (American Gladiators, Mr. Universe); Erin Cahill (Cut to the Chase, Christmas on the Range); Jesse Kove (Cobra Kai, Far Haven); Lev Cameron (Far Haven); and Jessica McKay (WWE Star).
Butts also noted, “The character arcs are a rich combination of compelling stories and immensely talented actors. Every week features a lineup of series regulars and special guest stars that keeps each fast-paced episode fresh and exciting. There’s action, intrigue, and suspense, yet it is suitable for viewers of every age.”
